How do I know if my heating system needs replacing?

There are a number of signs that suggest it’s time to replace your heating system. If your heating system is frequently needing repairs then it will probably need replacing, and it will help you save money in the long term as a brand new system wouldn’t break down much. Also, if your heating system is old and you’re finding it difficult to find replacement parts for it then it may be worth switching to a brand new system. If you have had the same heating system for a long time and it’s not working as well as it used to, that’s a sign that you need to replace it and get something new. How long will it take to install a new heating system?

This can depend on a range of factors. It depends on the type of system you choose and how complex the fitting of the heating system is likely to be. On the assumption that we’re simply replacing an existing boiler, then it shouldn’t take any longer than a day. If we need to replace the pipework, install new pipework, or need the system to be power flushed then it could take between one and three days. If you’re having an entirely new heating system fitted then it could take longer. It would likely take between three and five days.

Which heating system is best for my home?

There are many different systems available for you to choose from, each with different benefits. We offer expert advice to help you figure out which heating system you need to match your priorities and heating needs in your property. If your property is connected to the gas grid, then you will probably want a gas condensing boiler. This type of boiler are energy efficient and can help you lower your energy bills. 

There are 3 different types of gas condensing boiler: combi, system and conventional. If your property isn’t connected to the gas grid, then you will probably want an oil condensing boiler. This type of boiler is fed from an external oil storage tank. If you’re looking for something that is environmentally friendly, then a biomass boiler is the one for you. Biomass boilers are designed to burn wood using a process or direct combustion and provide an environmentally friendly source of heating and hot water. 

Another option is a combined heat and power system. These systems are designed to generate heat and electricity simultaneously, and are also energy efficient and environmentally friendly. They can also help you to reduce your carbon emissions and reduce the cost of your energy bills. Alternatively, you can use ground source and air source heat pumps which utilise the latent heat in the ground or outdoor air. These heat pumps can be used on a standalone basis or to supplement an existing heating system. Finally, you could get a solar thermal system, which allows you to take advantage of the warmth provided by the sun to heat your water.
